According to recent data, the count of people aged 100 and above in the UK has grown by 100% from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of men aged 100 or over has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same timeframe, the number of female individuals reaching 100 almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to hear from centenarians, their family or close ones, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and developments.
